CA Licensed Acupuncturist and practitioner at Stanford Children's Hospital- How I got Here
I am currently working at Stanford Children's Hospital and in Private practices in Sunnyvale and San Jose, but my journey here was an interesting one. Growing up with a brother who suffered from a genetic disease, I always knew I would want to help others when I grow up. Somehow I took a detour through the world of Hi-Tech as a web team lead, but only a few years in, I followed my heart and studied Chinese Medicine. During school I fell in love with the power of touch and completed a 3 year Shiatsu program as well. During my last year in school I joined the staff as a TA in both Acupuncture and Shiatsu programs.
Specializing in Pediatrics
I always had a passion for working with kids so it was only natural for me to continue training for another year to specialize in Acupuncture for pediatrics.
Prenastal/Postpartum and Fertility
As many moms who came in with their little ones for treatment were expecting another baby, I decided it only makes sense to help the moms as well. I then took a hospital training in Acupuncture for Labor & Delivery. and the natural next step was Acupuncture for Fertility.
Specializing in Sensory Processing Disorder
My own kids have given me a lesson in emotional "sensitivities" and "un-proportional" responses to stress. While working on their "sensitivities" I learned so much about SPD and that became my biggest passion and specialization.
